Reviewing ReviewMe.com
I am being paid to write this. However, my thoughts are my own.
As I was reading my usual list of blogs this morning, I happened across an item about a new service from a website called ReviewMe.com. Basically, ReviewMe pays bloggers to write product reviews on their blog. I thought it sounded interesting so I went to the site and signed up.
Being a web-designer, the first thing I noticed was the site design. Their use of plenty of whitespace and succinct copy made finding out about the service very easy and pleasant. There wasn’t an excess of graphic elements meant to dazzle the viewer. The rounded corners, color scheme and fonts were reminiscent of the Blogger site design and made the site seem familiar. In addition, signing up for the service was very quick and easy and I had my account setup and my sites added in a matter of seconds.
So how does it work? My first ‚Äúassignment‚Äù is to write a review of their site, which I am doing here. For this, based on my site ranking and traffic, they will pay me $20. Not bad! After I‚Äôve written my review, I log back in to my account to let them know that I have written my review and then, presumably, they will deposit $20 into my PayPal account. We‚Äôll see…
