The American River

Last weekend was a gorgeous weekend…and the hiking was spectacular. I hope to repeat it this weekend if the weather can cooperate.

Last Saturday was a great day! Not only because it was a beautiful spring-sneak-peak day, but because we went hiking at Rockville park in Fairfield. Here’s the view:

This morning, as I joined my sister for her morning commute, we had the pleasure of being involved in a car accident. It wasn’t anything major. Melody merged into a lane at the same time someone else was. Melody’s car was slightly scratched, but nothing too bad.
So, here I present a photo of the officer who gave Melody a ticket for improper lane change. Enjoy!
P.S. My dad is doing much better. He appreciates everyone’s thoughts and prayers.
Had a great weekend! I borrowed an RV from work and drove Allison, Karen and Dave to Bodega Dunes campground. This was the first time I’ve ever used an RV so it was interesting to say the least. The ride up to the campground we had to do at night and it took some time for me to unclench my fists from around the steering wheel once we did arrive.
We had a great time though. RVing is definitely the luxury living way to go camping. (On Sunday I made strawberry crepes for breakfast. Try that with a one burner campstove). Stuffing ourselves on fresh crab, homemade french onion soup and garlic bread was probably second only to the perfect day we spent kicking around on the beach.
